Pinhole
Camera Obscura is a darkened box with a convex lens, or aperture for projecting the image of external object onto a screen inside. To create the pinhole camera, we used an altoids container, painting it black and created a larger hole in the center of the lid. Then we took a piece of tin can and I chose a medium sewing needle size, to use to create the pinhole, controlling the aperture of the camera. Next we covered the hole on the cover of the container with the piece of tin with the pierced hole, centering the pierced hole on the tin in the center of the larger hole. After that we used black electrical tape to tape the tin to the container, not covering the pinhole. Then a piece of light sensitive paper was taped to the back of the altoids container, which is used for capturing the image. The focal length of the pinhole camera was 21.28 mm. Black electrical tape was then put around the edge of the altoids container, securing it closed, as well as a piece of black tape covering the hole and pinhole, becoming the shutter. My pinhole Camera was then placed on the black fence in the front of the school, vertically, facing toward Sunoko and Speedway. The exposure time was 6 Days. The light exposure was the sun. Once taking down the pinhole camera, on the light sensitive paper there was a distinct line, showing the sunlight. To "process" the image we had to scan it on the scanner, then open it on photoshop and flip it and then invert the image color. I was surprised with my outcome, and if i could change anything i would change the size of my pinhole to widen the aperture.

out of school pinhole
I placed the pinhole camera at the end of my street facing over the taunton river toward fall river. I left the camera out for 4 days. The weather affected my camera because of the humidity made the inside of the camera moist, attracting water to the paper. The light was really strong in my photo because it was facing the water, the sunrise and sunset were strong. I didn't make and changes to my camera before placing it at the out of school spot. In my out of school image, the sun is stronger and the picture is clearer. The images are different because the image is clearer and the sun is stronger. The picture out of school is better than the results of the in school image because the image is stronger and clearer and I like how the reflection of the sun is captured off of the water.
